Here's all what one could expect from Apple's bi-annual product event that will be held on March 21.

New Delhi: Apple has sent out media invites for its March 21 event and it is expected that the tech giant will finally take the wraps off an anticipated 4-inch iPhone along with announcing a possible successor in its line of iPads.

Here's all what one could expect from Apple's bi-annual product event that will kickstart at 10 PM (IST):

1. A new 4-inch iPhone

The highlight of the keynote is a new 4-inch iPhone that could possibly be called the iPhone 5 se with 'se' standing for 'special edition' or 'iPhone 5s Enhanced'. The phone is further expected to be in line for the latest-gen A9 processor from the iPhone 6s and also inherit the top-of-the-range handset's 12-megapixel camera, 4k movie mode and "Live Photos" function.

The newer iPhone is likely to come in two storage choices of 16 and 64 GB; a likely disappointment for those seeking a bumper 128 GB which was introduced with the newer phones. The smaller phone is expected to sell at a lower price and would appeal to those who never bought into the larger screens.

2. An iPad Air 3 / iPad Pro mini

Alongside the anticipated entry-level smartphone, Apple could be set to unveil a new-generation 9.7-inch iPad at the forthcoming event. The new iPad's name remains unclear (iPad Air 3 or iPad Pro mini), but the device could come loaded with features exclusive to the iPad Pro, like its A9X processor and Apple Pencil stylus. While the new model will be the same size as Apple's regular iPads, it's also a step back from the first iPad Pro, which has a larger, 12.9-inch screen and other features for professional users — including a thin, detachable keyboard.

3. Apple Watch bands

A message on copies of the invitations posted by Apple simply states "Let us loop you in," prompting some to speculate that new bands for the Apple Watch would be among the announcements. However, it is unlikely that Apple will use this keynote to introduce a successor to its smartwatch.

4. iOS update

Other than the products, the keynote could also witness Apple announcing a new update to its iOS. Currently under beta for developers and testers, Apple could push the iOS 9.3 to consumers at its event. The new update is expected to solve bugs and performance issues that put the devices at bricking risk.
