Google has launched a new one-stop vacation planning tool for mobile devices that allows holidaymakers to find the best times to visit, the best time of year to travel, and the kinds of prices to expect.
Destinations on Google is designed specifically for mobile use, and generates results with a single search. After typing the city or country users want to travel to, followed by the words "vacation" or "destination," Google will generate a collection of flight and hotel options.
Users can see airfare and hotel rates over the next six months, which are updated with real-time pricing so that travelers can find the best rates available.
The search option also allow users to avoid crowds and bad weather via its Explore tab, which tells users when their destination is most popular based on historic visits, and posts weather patterns.
Google says they saw a 50 per cent spike in travel-related questions on mobile devices.
