Xiaomi has launched a new pair of Bluetooth earbuds in China called the Mi AirDots Pro. Mimicking Apple’s AirPods which were launched back in December 2016, the Mi AirDots Pro are said to be water-resistant, feature touch controls, and support a Bluetooth receiver and a beamforming microphone.
The Mi AirDots Pro come in a similar case as the AirPods which also charger the earbuds once they are placed inside. The case itself can be charged via USB Type-C charger. Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, the earbuds weigh only 5.8 grams, come with Bluetooth 4.2, support AAC codec for enhanced audio and are IPX4 water resistant.
According to the company the in-ear wireless earbuds feature a 7mm neodymium iron boron magnetic and titanium-plated diaphragm dynamic ring speaker unit, paired with ANC (active noise cancellation) to offer improved sound and call quality. The integrated touch controls allow users to change music, take calls, and even summon the voice assistant. The Mi AirDots Pro come with a feature where they disconnect automatically when taken off of the ear and remain on standby for 30 minutes.
The company claims that they can go up to 10 hours on a single charge and be fully charged in one hour. The Mi AirDots Pro will be available in China starting January 11 priced at CNY 399 (Rs 4,000 approx). As of now, there is no info if the product will be launched in India.
