Deepika Singh, known for her role in the TV series Diya Aur Baati Hum, recently made a noteworthy comeback to television with the daily soap Mangal Lakshmi. While her role has garnered high praise from the audience, Deepika Singh has faced challenges on set. Previously, she suffered an eye clot due to extreme heat, and more recently, she sustained an injury while shooting a crucial scene.
According to a report from Etimes TV, Deepika Singh was filming a dream sequence for her daily soap Mangal Lakshmi in Filmcity when she suffered an injury. The scene she was shooting depicted her being felicitated. During filming, a large plywood board positioned behind her fell heavily on her back. The production team quickly responded to assist her. Despite attempting to continue filming the important sequence, Deepika had to halt due to increasing swelling in her back.
Reportedly, there was a kids’ dance show being filmed nearby, and they provided an ice pack upon request. Deepika used the ice pack to alleviate the pain and managed to shoot as much of the scene as possible. However, as the pain became unbearable, she eventually left the set and returned home.
Earlier, Deepika Singh developed a clot in her eye due to extreme temperatures. During a shoot, she experienced irritation in her eye which was noticed by her co-star, who observed a red blood clot in her right eye. Deepika swiftly sought medical attention, visiting a doctor within half an hour. She was prescribed medication, including ointments and eye drops. The doctor informed her that she had injured her eye and advised several days of rest for healing.
Mangal Lakshmi, which airs on Colors TV, continues to captivate audiences with its emotionally driven plot. The storyline revolves around two sisters, Mangal and Lakshmi. Deepika Singh plays Mangal, her sister Lakshmi’s guardian and confidante.
