Sumbul Touqeer On Kavya - Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon Going Off Air, Hints At Climax Having 'Lasting Impression'

Sumbul Touqeer’s TV show Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, which has been running on Sony TV since September, last year, will soon come to an end. Sumbul plays the show’s title character, while Mishkat Varma’s portrayal of Adhiraj has won hearts. But after a successful run for about a year, the makers have decided that the show will now go off air on September 27. Earlier, Sumbul had shared pictures from her last day on sets. Recently, in an interview, the actress opened up about working on this project as well as her bond with co-star Mishkat.

In conversation with Pinkvilla, Sumbul Touqeer shared her views about the show going off air, although it has a good fan following. She stated, “I didn’t come in with any specific expectations about how long the show would run. I knew we had a beautiful story to tell, and the audience connected with it right from the start.” She added that although she thought that the show would continue for long, she was quite pleased with what they have accomplished in this one year.

Furthermore, Sumbul shared that she had developed a “wonderful friendship” with Mishkat Varma on the show and expects to stay in touch in the future. She stated, “Our bond is real, and we’ll keep supporting each other in our future projects. It’s special when you build such strong relationships in this industry, and I’m sure our friendship will continue for years to come.”

Moreover, Sumbul also gave hints about the climax for Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. She shared that the makers have tried to do justice to all the characters, and the audience will appreciate it. The actress mentioned that while the climax is emotional, it will surely leave a “lasting impression” on the viewer’s mind. The actress added, “I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to such a beautiful journey.” Without revealing much detail, Sumbul shared, “I can say that viewers will get to see Kavya’s strength one last time as she makes an important decision. There are also a few surprises that will make the episode very special.”
