Imagine going on a walk by the beach and a leisurely and fun day turns into quite an adventure for a 10-year-old in the United Kingdom. As little Tegan strolled the shore with her mother in Penarth, she chanced across huge footprints. Little did she know that the print belonged to a pre-historical era animal. As per reports, experts believe that it belongs to Camelot.

Tegan and her mother Claire made this incredible discovery on the South Wales coast. For them, it was an ordinary day which quickly turned “cool” and “exciting” after they discovered those massive prints. Experts believe that the enormous footprints that Tegan found might be of a Camelot which roamed the Earth over 200 million years ago. This Triassic period herbivore’s prints were spaced up to 75 cm apart. Palaeontologists are working hard to verify if the insanely awesome discovery of the footprints is genuine. The whole incident left Tegan and her mother ecstatic as they walked in the dinosaur’s footsteps.

Dinosaur footprints were discovered in red siltstone at Lavernock Point, situated between Cardiff and Barry on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. In an interview with the BBC, Cindy Howells explained, “We found five footprints, each spaced about half to three-quarters of a meter apart. These footprints are so large that they must belong to a type of dinosaur known as a Sauropodomorpha,” she told BBC’s The Dinohunters program.

Tegan shared that she and her mother were just out there to see what they would find but did not think that they would come across anything. They found these “big holes that looked like dinosaur footprints” so her mother snapped a few clicks and emailed it to the museum. They informed me it was of a long-necked dinosaur.

While the verification process is ongoing, Cindy Howells, an expert with 40 years of experience was convinced that the footprints were genuine due to the stride pattern. She could tell by the “alternating left and right feet, with a consistent distance between them”. The pattern suggested a deliberate gait. She is quite excited and thrilled about this discovery of a dinosaur.
