Expert Explains Why Selling Feet Photos Are More Common Than You Think
This fascinating trend reflects how people are exploring unconventional avenues to generate income.

In the age of diverse side hustles, a peculiar trend is gaining traction online—”selling pictures of feet.” This unconventional pastime has surprisingly become a lucrative venture, especially for individuals with specific foot types such as “Peasant, Roman, or Greek feet,” which are highly sought after in the “foot fetish” community.

Sex therapist Melissa Cook suggests that individuals with these preferred toe types could potentially achieve financial freedom through this unusual avenue, with potential annual earnings reaching up to £35,000 (approximately Rs 36 lakh). According to a survey by Fun With Feet, models flaunting square feet seem to earn the highest, potentially reaching £35,000, closely followed by Greek feet at £33,000 (approximately Rs 34 lakh), while those with stretched feet can still command an impressive £30,000 (approximately Rs 31 lakh).

In a conversation with What’s The Jam, the expert explained, “Foot fetishes are one of the most common fetishes. The rare ‘peasant’ foot type takes the lead when it comes to earnings, this is when the three largest toes are equal in size. If you want to be successful, there are lots of things to consider, but mainly, you need to think about the quality of your images and understand your audience. It’s more than taking just a quick snap, it’s a process. Try to get creative and think about incorporating props, taking multiple images, learning to edit, play with different lighting and filters and practice multiple poses. Creating unique and high-quality content is more likely to sell.”

According to Melissa Cook, selling foot images involves more than just taking a quick snap, it’s a process that requires creativity and attention to detail. Cook suggests using props, taking multiple images, learning to edit, experimenting with different lighting and filters and practising various poses to create unique and high quality content is crucial for success in this unique side hustle. Interestingly, red toenail polish seems to be a crowd puller among buyers.

As per Cook, “Model’s personality can have a big impact on the overall experience as well as whether an individual will return and buy pictures again.” Meanwhile, clean and nail polished pictures are 75% more popular, however, 96% of people don’t like hairy feet. Even common foot shapes can generate an average annual income of £21,000 (approximately Rs 22 lakh). Feet with the Egyptian foot shape, featuring a tall big toe and the ape shape, earn 50% less than any other foot type.
