‘He Deserves Those Tips’: Internet In Awe Of Car Cleaner Dressed As Spider-Man

Often people encounter hustlers who clean car windows at traffic signals for a small tip. Now, a video of one such car cleaner is raking in likes, thanks to the man’s unique approach to his work. The car cleaner in this video is dressed as Spiderman. He then minutely but swiftly cleans the car’s windshield. As he is cleaning the windshield with swift movement, he waits a second and draws a little heart on the glass. The people inside the car break into a laugh at this gesture. The man sitting on the passenger seat later gives a tip to the hardworking guy.

This clip was posted online by a popular account called No Context Humans. It is unclear when and where this video was taken but so far it has over 14 million views and thousands of likes. In the comments, many people praised the car cleaner for this innovative style that added entertainment value to an unglamorous task. Appreciating him, an X user wrote, My mom once taught me, whatever you do in life, be the best at it. With that being said, this spider guy is the real deal.” Someone noted that it is not easy to work in a tight Spiderman costume and remarked, “He deserves those tips, omg. being in that costume is no joke under the sun.”

An X user joked, “Spider-Man’s hustle is real! Juggling life, work, and those web-slinging responsibilities. From swinging through skyscrapers to paying rent, our friendly neighborhood hero proves that even superheroes face the daily grind.” Another wrote, “Seriously this I would pay for assuming they used an ok-enough water and soap for the windshield. Nothing like a good show of matrapik. Notice Spidey actually cleaned the windshield.”

This is not the only post about window cleaners that has gone viral in recent years. Back In 2021, the Kingston Health Sciences Centre in Canada gained much praise for organising special window clean-ups in which the window cleaners dress up as superheroes. This helps in offering a laugh and some respite to young patients in the hospital as they watch people dressed as Superman rappelling from the building and cleaning their windows.

The Kingston Health Sciences Centre shared pictures from this special initiative and wrote, “Our healthcare heroes received some back-up today – superheroes brought smiles to the faces of our youngest patients. Staff from Elite Window Cleaning rappelled down the building to not only fight grime, but bring much needed fun & distraction to patients, family & staff. ygk.”

Commenting on this post, an X user wrote, “So heartwarming. This action definitely went a long way for the kids — and I’m sure the adults, too.”
