National Creators Award 2024: Kamiya Jani To Maithili Thakur, List Of Winners

For the first time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the inaugural National Creators Award at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The government of India recently announced the awards aimed to recognise the “excellence and impact” of content creators across fields like social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, gaming and more. The government released a list of nominees on MyGov.in. The nominees across 20 categories included big names like Katrina Kaif and fashion influencer Komal Pandey. The award categories ranged from The Best Storyteller Award to the Swachhta Ambassador Award to the Most Impactful Agri Creator. The public was encouraged to vote for their favourite creators till March 6. On Friday, March 8, the award ceremony was held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Best Storyteller Award: Keerthika Govindasamy

The Disruptor of the Year: Ranveer Allahbadia

Celebrity Creator of the Year: Aman Gupta

Green Champion Award: Pankti Pandey

Best Creator For Social Change: Jaya Kishori

Most Impactful Agri Creator: Lakshay Dabas

Cultural Ambassador of The Year: Maithili Thakur

International Creator Award: Drew Hicks

Best Travel Creator Award: Kamiya Jani

Swachhta Ambassador Award: Malhar Kalambe

Tech Creator Award: Gaurav Chaudhary

Heritage Fashion Icon Award: Jahnvi Singh

Most Creative Creator (Male): RJ Raunac

Most Creative Creator (Female) Shraddha Jain

Best Creator in the Food Category: Kabita Singh (Kabita’s Kitchen)

Best Creator in Education Category: Naman Deshmukh

Best Creator in the Gaming Category: Nishchay

Best Micro Creator: Aridaman

Best Nano Creator: Piyush Purohit

Best Health and Fitness Creator: Ankit Baiyanpuria

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s office, the winners were selected after 10 lakh votes were counted. The statement read, “In the first round, more than 1.5 lakh nominations across 20 different categories were received. Subsequently, in the voting round, about 10 lakh votes were cast for digital creators in various award categories. Following this, 23 winners, including three international creators, were decided.” As per MyGov.in the nominations started on February 10 and closed on February 29.

Among the international winners is Drew Hicks, an American traveller known for making travel content in Hindi. He won the award in the International Creator Award category.

While speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi said, “The ‘National Creators Award’ recognises the talent of our creator’s community. It celebrates their passion to use creativity for driving a positive change.”
