For IPL fans, nothing compares to the thrill of witnessing their beloved teams in action live at the stadium. Despite the hurdles of pricey tickets, scorching weather, and limited visibility, these ardent cricket enthusiasts spare no effort in rooting for their team. But does this dedication truly pay off? Well, for one man in Hyderabad, it turned out to be quite the letdown when his much-anticipated ticket for the CSK vs. SRH match left him high and dry, quite literally ‘standing’ despite shelling out a hefty Rs. 4,500.
So, what went wrong? Venting his frustration to ‘X’, Junaid Ahmed, a die-hard Chennai Super Kings supporter, recounted how he was allocated seat number J66 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Yet, upon reaching the ‘J’ section, he was met with an unexpected revelation – there was no seat numbered 66. Wait, what? Yes, sharing a video as evidence, it became clear that ‘J67’ followed ‘J65’, with the elusive middle seat nowhere to be found. Imagine the sheer disbelief and perhaps a moment of rueful laughter at such misfortune!

Thus, sharing footage and snapshots of his ‘seatless’ plight alongside his pricey ticket, clearly stating the Rs. 4500 he had paid, Ahmed lamented, “Disappointed that I’ve booked a ticket and seat Number was J66 in Stand. Sorry state that seat doesn’t exist and had to stand and enjoy the game. Do I get a refund and compensation for this.”

Soon, his post went viral, sending shockwaves across the internet. “Bro what’s this scam!” exclaimed one user in disbelief, while another chimed in, “Wowwww crazy , surely HCA can do better. They have been one of the worst lot-managed associations and it affects our fan experience.” Adding a touch of humour, a third user wrote, “Moye moye.”
However, Ahmed later disclosed in a follow-up post: “The missing seat was found in the innings break, between J69-70 ! Someone mixed it up.”

All in all, while Ahmed initially had a tough time standing and watching CSK bat in the first innings after SRH chose to bowl, he was fortunate enough to eventually secure a seat. But was all the trouble worth it? It didn’t seem so, as the hosts, Hyderabad, comfortably chased down the 166-run target, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s heroics.
