Ola CEO Bhavish Aggrawal's AI-Generated Sanskrit Poem On Ram Mandir Is Trending
Bhavish Aggarwal recently shared a poem generated by AI on social media to congratulate Indians on the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder and CEO of Ola Cabs and founder of Ola Electric, recently shared a poem generated by artificial intelligence (AI), Krutrim, on social media in celebration of the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The post garnered attention and praise from users who appreciated the use of technology to mark what Aggarwal referred to as a “momentous day” and a “cultural renaissance” for India.

In his social media post, Aggarwal expressed his sentiments about the significance of the Ram Mandir inauguration. He stated, “Ayodhya is the true embodiment of Bharat, and it is a momentous day today that transcends beyond faith alone. It’s a moment of cultural renaissance for our country which will be instrumental in our efforts of nation-building. Our future will be built with the strength and inspiration of our heritage and culture.”

Aggarwal echoed the sentiments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, quoting him with the words, “Like our Hon PM said today, from Ram se Rashtra, and Dev se Desh!”

Accompanying his message, Aggarwal shared a poem in Sanskrit. The post attracted over 83,000 views on the social media platform, indicating a substantial engagement with the content.

Users in the comments section expressed their appreciation for the AI-generated poem and the unique perspective it brought to the occasion.

One user commented, “Interesting take! Our heritage sure has a powerful impact. Can’t wait to see how this cultural renaissance shapes the future!”

Another user considered the poem a “timeless ode to the Ram Mandir inauguration.”

Meanwhile, a different user remarked, “Ayodhya’s significance beautifully captured.”

Krutrim stands as a significant large language model (LLM) created by Ola. The announcement of Krutrim came from Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal in December 2023 during an event held in Bengaluru, where he referred to it as “India’s own AI.”

Notably, Krutrim is trained on an extensive dataset comprising more than 2 trillion tokens, which are sub-words commonly used in various conversations.

Krutrim exhibits remarkable language capabilities, understanding a total of 20 Indian languages and proficiently generating content in 10 of them, including Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Odiya, Telugu, and more. The developer, Krutrim Si Designs, asserts that this LLM surpasses OpenAI’s GPT-4 in its support for Indic languages.

While still in the developmental phase, Ola’s Krutrim is currently available in a basic version known as Krutrim Base, offered for free personal and non-commercial use.

Additionally, a more advanced iteration, Krutrim Pro, is anticipated to be launched later in 2024.
