Taylor Swift's Iconic Video Scene Inspires Creepy-cool Cake Trend Online; Here's What It Is
An iconic scene in Taylor Swift's Blank Space music video features her dramatically stabbing a white cake till it all turns red.

Taylor Swift has become a cultural and commercial powerhouse that is hard to ignore, regardless of your opinion of the pop sensation. Her most recent album already broke records in its first few hours of release. Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department became the first album in Spotify’s history to receive 200 million plays in a single day, the digital music provider said on Friday. However, the best part is that it’s more than just her music; Taylor is everywhere all at once. Recently, in honour of her 2014 song Blank Space, a Swiftie created the iconic bloody cake.

The cake, which went viral after being uploaded on Instagram, is entirely white exterior but leaks an edible crimson liquid that looks like blood when it is sliced, or actually, stabbed.

An iconic scene in Swift’s Blank Space music video features her dramatically stabbing a white cake till it stains red. This picture has now been transformed into a cake, echoing the song’s stagecraft.

Now, the online community couldn’t keep calm as the video generated over 64,000 views.

If you want to try your hand at making this classic cake, here’s how:

First, the baker takes a layer of vanilla cake in the shape of a heart, covers it with buttercream, and then adds another layer of cake on top.

She then smooths it out and applies buttercream to all the sides. She then cuts a round piece out of the middle of the cake with a deep round cutter.

She takes a small bowl, adds maize flour, water and red food colouring, and then pours the mixture into a plastic bag.

She also mentioned that some individuals substitute balloons. She inserts this plastic bag into the cake cavity.

She then spreads buttercream over the whole top layer of the cake, smooths it out, and decorates the edges.

Lastly, write Blank Space in white on the cake’s top.

Slice (or stab) the cake in a dramatic fashion for the complete feel. In any case, it looks like the Swift wave is here for a long.

“So it’s gonna be forever? Or it’s gonna go down in flames?”

What's your reaction?
