‘They Say I’ll Never Be A Father’: 6-month Pregnant Trans Man On Harsh Trolling

A British couple, Kristin Cook and Ashley, recently appeared on Truly My Extraordinary Family show and revealed the current dynamics of their married life. The couple already had a 4-year-old daughter named Scarlet Rae. Ashley gave birth to her daughter; but now, her husband, Kristen is pregnant with their second child. The husband is a transgender and calls himself a “seahorse dad”. In the show, the couple shared the amount of trolling and negative comments that they received after revealing this news. Kristen is now 6 months pregnant. While he houses a baby in his womb, his wife Ashley takes care of him. The story of this unique couple is now going viral.

Kristin transitioned eight years ago, but didn’t go under the gender reassignment surgery. He shared his fears about the scrutiny he is likely to face after he starts chest-feeding. While talking about the embarrassment which Kristin faced during the pregnancy, he said that he used to deal with the nastiness by not answering most of the time. “The haters really just look at me and I say how disgusting I am or that I’m grooming my children or that they feel bad for my children or that I’m not a father and I’ll never be a father,” said Kristen in the show. He also said that others also slammed him for child abuse and being a degenerate.

Kristin was male in appearance but was born with reproductive organs. He met Ashley in 2010 and eventually fell in love. Kristen said that when he met Ashley for the first time, he told her that her identity was female. “When I was 8 years old, I felt that God had messed something up and given me a boy’s brain instead of a girl’s,” said Kristen. He came out as trans when he was 25 years old.

In the show, Ashley was asked how she felt when she came to know that Kristin was transgender. To this, she said that she felt quite strange initially but now she has accepted this new change. She said that she is happy that Kristin is going to give birth to their second child. After the birth of her first daughter, Scarlet, Ashley decided to have another child. Ashley told the audience that Kristin himself came forward and said that he would be giving birth to a child as she had already given once. “I became happy. What a beautiful decision this was. I was waiting for this moment,” said Ashley.
