The obsession with making reels is becoming dangerous as people are choosing to throw caution to the wind and putting not just their own lives but others in danger as well. From trying to de-rail a train by placing objects on the railway track and making reels on steep hills during monsoon to risking lives on an escalator. One such viral shows two women with a child on escalator, who fall as they try to pose for the camera. The internet was outraged and shot a barrage of comments against the women for compromising on the child’s safety.
A video has surfaced on the internet where two women try to help a child get on the escalator. At first, it looked like they were trying to help the little one overcome his fear, hence, the mother and assumably the child’s aunt swung the child and made him stand on the moving stairs along with them. However, it seemed like they were posing for a camera or a reel and attempted to sit down on the moving escalator. Their wrong judgment call ended up in them toppling along with the child on their backs. Thankfully, the trio escaped the situation which could have easily and quickly turned fateful.
The clip was shared on X and the caption read, “Arey ye escalator bohot khatarnak hota hai. Laparvahi mat kiya karo. Bacche ki jaan jaa sakti thi abhi (The escalator can be quite dangerous. Don’t be so careless. The child could have lost his life).”
The video has garnered more than 9 lakh views on X. The comment section was enraged and bashed the adults. A comment read, “Reel banane ke chakkar mei jaan bhi de denge (These people will lose their lives just for reels).” Another added, “Ye khud toh maregi hi saath mei bache ko aur lekar maregi (She will die and kill her child as well).” One wrote, “Is it worth taking such risks for the sake of making reels to share on social media?” A comment read, “It’s not the escalator, it’s the keeda (need) to make videos at every step.”
