The Miss World 2024 event at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre saw Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic being crowned Miss World, succeeding Poland’s Karolina Bielawska. Yet, it was Kristen Wright, the 2022 Miss World Australia, who stole the spotlight. Kristen Wright walked the ramp in a stunning mint green sari, paired with a bold necklace and her million-dollar smile.

Kristen Wright’s images and videos from the Miss World 2024 final in Mumbai are once again going viral. She donned a stunning ensemble by renowned Indian designer Archana Kochhar. With Wright’s Australian-themed sash prominently seen, the post received over 22,000 likes. Wright said in the caption of her photo, “It was an honour to wear this beautiful saree crafted by the talented @archanakochharofficial during the 71st @missworld Festival Final.”

Many users flooded the comments section with admiration for the look.

Kochhar commented on the post saying, “You look beautiful” followed by a heart emoji.

A user commented, “International crush of India.”

Another said, “Looking gorgeous in an Indian outfit.”

“In saree, every woman looks like a princess,” read a comment.

Meanwhile, a user stated, “Amazing is probably an understatement in front of your beauty.”

Meanwhile, Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon was crowned the first runner-up, following Pyszkova in the rankings. Sini Shetty, 22, represented India at the pageant but did not make it to the final four.

Director Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young served as the event’s hosts. Shaan, Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar delivered tremendous performances to kick start the event.

A number of intense contests, such as talent shows, sporting events and philanthropic endeavours, were part of the month-long Miss World event. The overall goal was to emphasise the attributes that made these contestants the activists for change.

The coveted title has been won by India six times: by Reita Faria in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2000 and Manushi Chillar in 2017.
