Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and his Mexican wife Gia Goyal (née Grecia Munoz), recently took on the roles of delivery agents, personally delivering orders across Delhi NCR. Dressed in signature red Zomato T-shirts, the couple stepped into the shoes of delivery partners, likely to gain firsthand insights into their business operations.

“Went out to deliver orders a couple of days ago, teaming up with Gia Goyal,” wrote Deepinder while sharing a series of pictures on Instagram. In one image, Gia, riding a pillion, captures Deepinder navigating the streets on a bike. Another photo likely shows them pinpointing the delivery address, as they appear engrossed in the phone. One striking image captures Deepinder with a Zomato delivery bag slung over his shoulder, holding a helmet in one hand and his phone in the other. The photos also feature him interacting with customers of the Gurugram-based food delivery company.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal co-founded the company in 2008 alongside Pankaj Chaddah. Before founding the food delivery company, Deepinder worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He holds an integrated master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Before marrying Gia, Deepinder was married to Kanchan Joshi, whom he met while studying at IIT Delhi. Both were part of the same department, Mathematics and Computing. Deepinder, in an interview, revealed that he pursued Kanchan for six months before they started dating. When asked about how he approached her, Deepinder shared that he first became her friend, and soon they began spending time together. Kanchan Joshi is currently a Mathematics professor at Delhi University.
