Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce the 4th-gen Swift in India. The launch has been set for May 9. Ahead of the official release, the hot-selling product surfaced on the internet without camouflage, revealing all the details and some of the key features.
It has been reported that the vehicle is likely to be offered in five variants -LXI, VXI, VXI (O), ZXI and ZXI+. Going by the leaks, it seems like the upcoming Swift will hit the market with a long list of robust features. The list includes a rear defogger, halogen projector headlamps, Hill Start Assist, dual airbags at the front, and curtain airbags. This all is expected to come in the standard package.
Base Trim
Reports suggested that the base variant LXI will get some decent features such as a manual AC, power windows, physically internally adjustable ORVMs, adjustable front headrests, multi-functional tilt steering wheel, and a 12V power socket, among others. However, the company has not confirmed the details as yet.
Mid-spec VXI and VXI (O)
Talking about the mid-spec VXI and VXI (O), these trims are likely to fall under the most value for money. It will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Apart from this, the variants will also feature a height-adjustable driver seat, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted control, automatic AC, and keyless entry with engine start/stop button among others.
ZXI Variant
The ZXI trim is expected to get the full LED treatment at both ends. It might come with projector headlamps setup, paired with stylish DRLs. This one might run on 15-inch alloy wheels and will offer some advanced features such as a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a 60:40 split folding rear seat, and a rear washer and wiper.
Top Variant
Last but not the least, the top-spec ZXI+ variant. The report says that the trim will be filled with some impressive features, and will offer a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system on board. The customers will also get Arkamys audio system, color MID, cruise control, machined alloy wheels, and whatnot.
