Hyundai has been riding high on the success of the Creta, which has managed to successfully gather large sales number for the company. This has been largely due to the bold styling that the car had, and now, the company is set to launch the Creta's bigger sibling into the Indian market – Tucson, on October 24, 2016.
The Tucson nameplate has been previously a part of the Korean automaker's lineup and it is the third generation of that car that will be launched in less than a month.
Hyundai had showcased the car during the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, which was held in February and had promised to launch it during the upcoming festive season. When asked about the pricing of the car, the company had said that it will sit between the Creta and the Santa Fe. We expect it to be priced around the Rs 20 lakh mark.
There has been no announcement about what kind of engine will be powering the Tucson.
As of now, we will have to wait to see as to how the company prices the car as it is expected to take on the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Skoda Yeti.
