Two employees at a dealership of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India here have been sacked for involvement in alleged manhandling of a customer. Last month, after a video of the incident, had gone viral, the company said it was investigating the matter.

"The unfortunate incident at our Delhi dealership has been thoroughly investigated with our dealer partner, Landmark Group, and they have already taken disciplinary action against the offenders," FCA India said in a statement.

While the company did not elaborate, industry sources said two employees of the dealership have been terminated from service. It maintained that FCA's ethos has not subscribed to encouraging or tolerating such offensive treatment to customers and will never be so in future.

In a separate statement on its website, Landmark Group said, "We completed our investigation and have terminated the services of the individuals who were seen breaching the Code of Conduct with our esteemed customer."

Last month, the group, however, had said, "The video neither portrays nor provides the complete picture of the happenings. The incident had resulted as a consequence of the unacceptable behaviour of the customer with some of the female staff in our organisation."

The Jeep vehicle line-up in India consists of the Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Compass.
