The all-new Mini Clubman is set to be launched in India December 15. Slightly bigger than the Countryman, it will be the largest Mini on sale in the country. It will pretty much be an estate model.
The British automaker confirmed the Clubman's entry in India during Auto Expo 2016. It will the Mini's fifth model in the country, and the second new model that was launched this year. The Mini Convertible was also launched recently.
Like its siblings, the Clubman will have a large, single-frame grille, oval headlamps and clamshell bonnet. The tailgate, however, will be unlike any seen on a conventional hatchback or estate, it will have barn-style doors.
The dash on the Clubman will be similar to the ones on the latest Minis, with a large centrally mounted infotainment system. Like other Minis, the Clubman too will come with a list of customisation options.
In the international market, the Clubman is offered with a choice of a 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre petrol or diesel engine, mated to manual or automatic gearboxes. The Indian versions will also have the same engines, however the manual gearbox may not be available.
