While the shadow of dieselgate is not leaving Volkswagen anytime soon, the German auto giant is busy focusing on electric cars, to reclaim the brand image. VW has already spread the word for their ambitious 2025 plan to launch 1 million electric cars by the year 2025.

The company has already revealed the plans to revive the iconic Microbus in the form of the I.D Buzz concept, as well as two-door sports car. One South Korea based industrial designer, Soyeon Kim has imagined a track-only future sportscar from Volkswagen, that could be seen on roads as soon as 2023.

The design is unlike any other Volkswagen cars visible on the road today, or even the concepts revealed by VW till now. But the designer uses a few subtle cues from some of the vehicles out in the market, like the Golf and Jetta.Volkswagen Tiguan First Drive Review: The Subtle One!

The front fascia is sleek and aggressive, and borrows the grille from the Golf and Jetta. A set of slim headlights underneath the hood, can be seen on the I.D. concepts before it, giving the sports car a more futuristic look. There’s also a less aggressive aerodynamic diffuser on the front end.

The cabin is a two-seat cabin and is separated by an aerodynamic wing. The side profile is sculpted in such a way that it allows the airflow to easily pass over the body, and a vent located behind the front wheels with the yellow accent, continues the streamlined theme.
