Star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is currently out of action due to fitness issues. Sindhu endured a knee injury during the French Open Super 750 event in France earlier this year in October.
The double Olympic medalist is currently undergoing rehab and aims to return to competitive sport as soon as possible. Sindhu recently shared a glimpse of her training session by uploading a video on Instagram.
“Rehab on track, long road ahead, all in for the good times after,” read the caption of the post shared by the Indian shuttler.
In the video, Sindhu can be seen taking part in an intense training session and playing a practice game as well.

Earlier this month, Sindhu had announced that she will be trained by former Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone to prepare for the Olympics, scheduled to be held in Paris next year. Sindhu shared the update by posting a picture of herself alongside Padukone on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
“For those wondering and constantly asking me, the cat is finally out of the bag! Prakash sir is assuming the role of the mentor in my setup. I started training with him at the end of August, and it’s been uphill ever since. He’s more than a mentor; he’s my guide, my guru, and, above all, a true friend. I wholeheartedly believe he possesses the magic to bring out the absolute best from my game. I am so grateful he reached out to me with one call when I was in Japan, and we’ve built on that connection exceptionally well. Dear sir, I am pumped! Looking forward to training with you! Let’s get to work,” read the post shared by Sindhu.

The decision to work with Padukone was understood to have been made around two weeks before the Asian Games when Sindhu travelled from the Suchitra Academy in Hyderabad. Sindhu was recently granted a protected ranking by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) after the injury hampered her gameplay.
The protected ranking will keep Sindhu locked in at her ranking in the BWF standings until she regains her fitness. The five-time Worlds medalist has not had an impressive run of form since last August.
