In Belgaum Rural, the Congress’ Laxmi R Hebbalkar won after garnering 1,06,590 votes in total, defeating the BJP’s Nagesh Annappa Manolkar who trailed with 51,603 votes counted in his favour. Independent candidate R M Chougule has garnered 41,500 votes.
