The film is all set to enter the Rs 1000-crore club soon and is likely to become one of the highest-grossers at the box office. Priyamani’s fans are pouring in congratulatory messages on the grand success of the film.
On the other hand, she is also being trolled for her appearance and weight by her haters. This time, the actress gave a stern reply to one of her trolls, who called her “aunty”.
Priyamani has always been the target of the trolls. While some of them body shame the actress, others drop rude comments for her skin colour and acting choices. Recently, a trolled called her “aunty” to which the actress responded by saying, “I am 38 years old but I am still hot though. Shut your mouth.”
The actress in an interview with Bollywood Bubble revealed that she has been called names like “aunty”, “old” and “black” by trolls online. The Family Man actress added that she keeps receiving backlash online for not wearing makeup. She said, “If I post something without makeup, half of them say, ‘Oh with makeup you look good without makeup you look like an aunty,’ So what! If not today, tomorrow you will also become an aunty” adding “I feel why should I change myself to please you. This is me, this is who I am and I am very comfortable with the way I am.”
Priyamani was also at the receiving end of social media trolls after her engagement to Mustafa Raj. People were questioning her decision to marry a Muslim man. The actress was quick to hit back and said, “I am appalled by so much of negative reactions! Grow up, you people!!! It’s my life…and I am not answerable to anyone apart from my parents and my fiancé.”
