Now, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Amazon Pay have joined hands to make metro travel convenient.

There is good news for Delhi Metro commuters. As per the recent update, after Paytm, commuters will now be able to purchase mobile-based QR tickets on Amazon Pay with DMRC.

This innovative measure was taken to ensure a fast and hassle-free experience for millions of daily commuters, allowing them to skip the queue and get their tickets on the go.

Now, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Amazon Pay have joined hands to make metro travel convenient. Digital QR Tickets can be booked through Amazon Pay. The rollout of this survive will help commuters make quick and contactless payments without any hassle. It will allow them to purchase travel tickets on the go. Several other apps such as Paytm, One Delhi, DMRC Momentum 2.0 and WhatsApp allow DMRC commuters to book their tickets online.

DMRC Managing Director, Vikas Kumar said, “Partnering with Amazon Pay for QR ticketing will make daily journeys more efficient and enjoyable. This innovative approach offers convenience, reduces paper waste, and supports our sustainability efforts.”

Further, DMRC took to X to announce this new update. A part of the tweet read, “Going further towards digitalization of ticketing as part of ‘Ease of booking’ program, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today launched a digital QR ticketing system for Delhi Metro commuters in association with Amazon Pay.”

Here is how you can book your QR-based DMRC ticket using Amazon Pay-

  • The first step is to install the Amazon app on your phone.
  • Make sure to log in and go to the Amazon Pay tab on the home page. This will open a new tab.
  • Look for the option for the Delhi Metro QR Ticket.
  • Tap on it and then enter your “from” and “to” destinations for the ticket.
  • Proceed to make payment.
  • After this step, you will receive a QR Code. Show it at the gate and travel without any worries.

Now, all a commuter needs to do is hold a smartphone in front of the QR code scanner and show the QR code ticket at the Automatic Fare Collection gates.
