After inheriting husband Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s multi-billion portfolio, billionaire Rekha Jhunjhunwala has seen at least 3 stocks giving multi-bagger returns in 2023 while most of the profits came from 5.4 per cent holding in Titan.
According to the shareholding pattern of listed companies for the September quarter, Jhunjhunwala owned 25 stocks, the value of which increased by 14% to Rs 39,000 crore in the quarter. Details of only those companies are available where the lead investor holds at least 1 per cent stake.
An analysis of his portfolio shows that the investor’s best performing stock is Tata Motors DVR which is up 138% so far in the calendar year. Rekha owned 1.92 per cent stake in the company at the end of the September quarter.
Shares of DB Realty, in which she owns about 2 per cent stake, is up 108 per cent on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. Shares of road construction and infrastructure development company NCC have also doubled in the year.
Even after Big Bull’s death, Team Jhunjhunwala’s biggest holding remains his favourite Titan.
According to shareholding pattern of Titan Company Ltd for July to September 2023 quarter, Rekha jhunjhunwala holds 4,76,95,970 Titan shares, which is 5.37 per cent of total paid up capital of the company. Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd, where the Jhunjhunwala family owned about 17.3 per cent stake worth Rs 5,940 crore, has declined 9.71 per cent this calendar.

Rekha Jhunjhunwala is the wife of stock market king Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, known as Warren Buffett and Big Bull of India, and is managing her husband’s company Rare Enterprises. At the same time, she is also earning huge profits by investing in many companies.
Apart from Tata Motors DVR, she also has 1.6 per cent stake in Tata Motors. This stock, worth about Rs 3,800 crore, is the second biggest bet of the Jhunjhunwala family. Incidentally, both the biggest holdings are of Tata Group.
