UP Govt Initiates Housing And Other Commercial Projects Around Jewar Airport
The Yamuna Authority is poised to initiate six group housing projects in Sector 22D, adjacent to the airport.

The Yogi Adityanath government’s ambitious project, Jewar Airport, has commenced work on multiple fronts, with plans for four new sectors to be established near the airport. The increasing demand for residential properties has prompted the decision to construct housing societies in Sectors 5, 6, 7 and 9. The authority is set to acquire 942 acres of land for Sector 5, 859 acres for Sector 6, 1167 acres for Sector 7 and 810 acres for Sector 8, paving the way for the realisation of the common man’s dream of owning a house near Jewar Airport with all necessary facilities.

The Yamuna Authority is poised to initiate six group housing projects in Sector 22D, adjacent to the Noida International Airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh. Applications have been invited for the construction of group housing, with property experts predicting the development of numerous societies targeting the Middle-Income Group (MIG), offering 2 BHK flats priced between Rs 30 to Rs 40 lakh.

The government is reportedly investing around Rs 45,000 crore in the areas surrounding Jewar Airport, with plans for projects such as data centres, toy factories and food processing units. Consequently, people have already begun to inhabit the area, drawn by the allure of various facilities including medical services. The region is also set to house an electronic manufacturing unit and a Formula One Track, further enhancing its appeal.

Additionally, plans are underway for the construction of commercial shops and malls near the airport to enhance convenience for residents and visitors alike. Reportedly, 11 commercial shops will be built in Sector 22D on the ground and first floors. Given the commonality of hotels near airports, the authority plans to allocate land for hotels in Sector 28, acquiring plots of 5,000, 10,000 and 3,400 square meters across various sectors to accommodate the needs of travellers.

The application process commenced on February 14, with the deadline for submission set for February 24. An e-auction for the allocated plots is scheduled for March 11.
