Dulquer Salmaan To Play Lead In Directorial Debut Of Thalapathy Vijay's Son Jason Sanjay: Reports

Jason Sanjay, the son of Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay, is now in the news as he is all set to carry on his father’s tradition by entering the film industry. Viewers were eagerly waiting for more updates on the upcoming project. Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, Jason Sanjay has finalised the hero of his upcoming movie.

As per reports, Dulquer Salmaan, who predominantly works in Malayalam films in addition to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, will be playing the lead role in the film directed by Jason Sanjay. This news has created great expectations for his performance in Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut. It is expected that the details of the actors and technicians of the Sanjay-directed film will be released soon.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is busy with his upcoming Tamil action drama film Thug Life. It is directed by Mani Ratnam, with Kamal Haasan co-writing the screenplay. Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies are producing it. Apart from Dulquer Salmaan the film also stars Haasan, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, in the main roles.

The film was officially announced in November 2022 under the tentative title KH234, as it is Haasan’s 234th film as the leading actor, and the official title was announced in November 2023. The film has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography handled by Ravi K Chandran, and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.

However, earlier, Lyca Productions published an official announcement regarding Jason Sanjay’s movie on its official X account. Sharing photos of Jason Sanjay with executives from the production house, they captioned the post, “We are beyond excited and proud to introduce Jason Sanjay in his directorial debut.” We wish him a career filled with success and contentment, carrying forward the legacy!” Take a look at the post:

After seeing the post, Vijay’s supporters congratulated him and Jason in the comments section. One person wrote, “The cub is here. Jason Sanjay has a bachelor’s degree in screenwriting from London and a diploma in film production from Toronto Film School. He earlier directed a short film called Pull The Trigger.
