Yuvan Shankar also paid tribute to Bhavatharini during a recent musical tour to Sri Lanka. He performed at a concert in Sri Lanka on February 24. At the concert, he sang his late sister Bhavatharini’s National Award-winning song, Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu. Pictures of the siblings as children were displayed on the venue’s large screens. He received cheers from concertgoers, who were there to support him.

My Dear Kuttichathan marked Bhavatharini’s singing debut. She began singing on albums mostly written by her siblings and father after that. She was the 2001 National Award winner for the song Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu from the film Bharathi, which had her father as the music director. In 2002, Bhavatharini took on the role of music director for the Revathi-directed film Mitr, My Friend, which starred Shobhana. Next, she ventured into the Telugu cinema industry alongside Avuna. She forayed into Hindi cinema, composing music for Phir Milenge starring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan.
