Actress Kausalya, recognised for her roles in numerous hit films, recently returned to the screen in Santhosh Subramanian’s latest film after a considerable break. Despite this comeback, she has not been cast in any other films. In a notable event, the daughter of actress Radha, Karthika Nair, celebrated her wedding with Rohit Menon in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The ceremony was attended by various prominent actors and actresses, with Kausalya among the attendees.

Kausalya, also known as Nandini, started her journey as a model. She made her debut with the 1996 Malayalam film April 19, directed by Balachandra Menon. The actress later entered Tamil cinema with her first film, Kaalamellam Kadhal Vaazhga alongside Murali. Kausalya subsequently found success in the Tamil film industry, delivering notable performances in films such as Nerukku Ner, Priyamudan, Sollamale, Pooveli, Vaanathaippola, and Kutty.

Having appeared in more than 30 films in Tamil and Malayalam, Nandini earned acclaim, including a Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil for her role in Pooveli. Films like Thiagarajan’s Police with Prashanth, Manadhil with Karthik, Vendumadi Nee Enakku, and Rosappoo Chinna Rosappoo with Sathyaraj experienced successive setbacks. After a hiatus of 6 years, Kausalya returned to the Tamil film industry with the action film Poojai.
