The conversation between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, released on BCCI.tv on Wednesday, has set social media ablaze. The two stalwarts, who were often seen having heated arguments in the IPL, sat down to have a candid conversation on camera for the first time. They spoke on various topics, including their cricket journeys, love for Test cricket and most importantly, putting an end to the rumours of a possible rift between them.
At the end of the conversation, the India head coach revealed his next guest as Rohit Sharma and Kohli showed no mercy in highlighting the captain’s habit of forgetting things. Gambhir asked Kohli if he had a question for the Indian captain.
Kohli hilariously suggested that Gambhir should ask Rohit if he has soaked almonds in the morning, thus taking a dig at Rohit’s poor memory.
“So Virat, the next guest is Rohit. What do you want me to ask? What should be the first question,” asked Gambhir.
“I think it is a very simple question to Rohit. Ke subah bheege badam khate hai ki nahi (Does he eat soaked almonds in the morning),” Kohli replied.
“So that he comes in at 11 am and not 11 pm,” he added.

Rohit and his habit of forgetting things
The current and former teammates of Rohit Sharma keep on pointing out the India captain’s habit. From his passport, and mobile phone to his wedding ring, Rohit has forgotten them all at times.
Back in 2017, speaking on the YouTube show ‘Breakfast with Champions’, Rohit revealed the incident when he had left his wedding ring in the team hotel.
“I was newly married. I didn’t have a habit of wearing it at all times. I have a very bad habit of getting up late and then rushing towards the airport. I always tell my teammates to give me a call or knock on my door before we leave for training or the airport. That day, I got very late and left in a hurry,” Rohit Sharma recalled.
“I saw Umesh Yadav wearing his wedding ring and then I realized that I had left mine in the hotel room. I asked Bhajju Paa [Harbhajan Singh] to call a guy in the hotel, whom he knew, to look for my ring. Eventually, everyone got to know about it and Virat Kohli made it news,” he added.
