Dwayne Bravo shared the pictures on social media, calling MS Dhoni and Chris Gayle as “two of the greatest players” of his era.

Dwayne Bravo met his former West Indies teammate Chris Gayle after the high-voltage Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, May 18. MS Dhoni was also part of the reunion as the former CSK captain clicked some pictures with the West Indies duo. Bravo shared the pictures on Instagram, labelling Dhoni and Gayle as “two of the greatest players” of his era. The trio met in the dressing room after RCB claimed a thrilling 27-run win over CSK in the virtual knockout to mark their entry into the IPL 2024 playoffs.

Dwayne Bravo’s post certainly sent the fans to a nostalgic trip as they were delighted to see the three legends in one frame. One of them branded the trio as the “destructive boys,” shedding light on their illustrious careers.

A user was happy to see MS Dhoni smiling following CSK’s heartbreaking loss to RCB in the final league game. In the comment section, many fans also revealed their concern about Dhoni’s potential IPL retirement. “DJ Bravo, please ask MS Dhoni if he is playing the 2025 IPL or not,” wrote a die-hard ‘Thala’ fan.

Since the commencement of the IPL 2024, speculations have been rife about whether MS Dhoni will continue playing in the IPL after this season. After CSK won their fifth IPL title last season, many thought Dhoni would draw the curtain on his career. The 42-year-old, however, assured his fans to make himself for one more season.

Chris Gayle, an RCB legend, was present at the stadium to cheer for his former franchise. He was captured enjoying the enthralling battle while sitting in the stands. Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo is currently the bowling coach of CSK. He spent the majority of his IPL career with the Chennai-based franchise and won three IPL titles under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from the franchise competition in 2022. Ahead of the next IPL season, the legendary all-rounder replaced Lakshmipathy Balaji to become the new bowling coach of CSK. While Bravo joined the Chennai-based side in 2011, Dhoni has been associated with the franchise ever since the inaugural IPL season in 2008. The World Cup-winning skipper led CSK to five IPL titles before passing the captaincy baton to Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of this edition.
