She shot her way to glory and now she’s ‘learning’ a variety more. Olympic double medallist Manu Bhaker recently met up with ace Indian batter and T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

The ace pistol shooter, who returned from Paris in the wee hours after her record-breaking campaign, announced, via her coach Jaspal Rana, that she is set to take a three-month break from the sport.

And now, in the midst of it, Bhaker spent some time with ‘Mr. 360’ Surykumar Yadav, as both posed for a candid picture, with with the ace shooter taking a batting stance, while Surya hit the sharpshooter pose with pistol hands.

Bhaker opened India’s medal tally at the Paris Games as she claimed the bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol event and doubled it when she picked up yet another bronze alongside Sarabjot Singh in the 10m Mixed Team Air Pistol event.

She nearly tripled her tally in her favoured 25m Air Pistol event but had to settle for a fourth-place finish, thereby concluding her Olympic campaign with a record two medals.

Bhaker also had the honour of being India’s flagbearer alongside veteran hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

Upon her arrival back to India, when asked about what her ambitions for the future ahead were, the ace shooter answered back in expected fashion, stating that her goal was to etch her name in history as one of the greatest.

“I would like to be one of the greatest. This is just a beginning for me. I want to devote my entire life to sports and India. I am just trying my best to win as many medals as possible for my country,” stated Bhaker.
