T20 World Cup: India, Australia, South Africa Enter Super 8; Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka Stare at Early Elimination

As the T20 World Cup 2024 reaches the Super-8 stages, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma managed to make it three wins on the bounce with a victory over the co-hosts the United States of America by seven wickets at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Team India was on the money right from ball one with Arshdeep Singh picking up his career-best figures of 4/9 in his quota of four overs to run past the American batters. The USA team were still putting up a fair fight against India to register a total of 110/8 in 20 overs.

In the second innings the fight continued with the left-arm pacer, Saurabh Netravalkar striking early with the big wickets of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to put the Indians under pressure. But Suryakumar Yadav found his groove with a gritty knock of 50 in 49 to lead the Indian team to the win.
