Fans on social media went down memory lane to recall one of the most viral moments of Indian cricket as Team India return to play at the Green Park Stadium.

Test cricket returns to the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur after three years as the Indian men’s cricket team face Bangladesh in the second match of their two-match series, which the home side leads 1-0 after winning the first Test by 280 runs in Chennai.

With thee second match starting on Friday (27 September), fans on social media went down memory lane to recall one of the most viral moments of Indian cricket.

The last time India played a Test match in Kanpur was in the year 2021 against New Zealand and during that Test match, a man sitting in the stadium was seen chewing ‘gutkha’. The video of that incident again became viral on social media.

In fact, during India’s first innings in the Kanpur Test match, at the start of the 71st over, the focus of the camera went to a man sitting in the stadium who was chewing gutkha. It was clearly visible in the video that the man was moving his mouth while talking on the phone. When the video of that person went viral on social media, the fans named him ‘Gutkha Man’. The name of this person was Shobhit Pandey. However, when this person came in front of the media, he told that he was eating sweet betel nut, addin that ‘gutkha’ was taken from him during the security check at the gates.

Many fans took a look back at the incident and the video became viral on social media once again.
