WATCH: KKR's Angkrish Raghuvanshi's Hilarious Interaction During the Mid-innings Break After a Fiery Fifty on Debut

Yet another fine youngster showcased his talent on the biggest stage. This time it was Kolkata Knight Riders’ Angkrish Raghuvanshi who scored a blistering fifty on debut against the Delhi Capitals. Following his knock, the youngster had a hilarious heartfelt exchange with the presenter during the mid-innings break.

Speaking with the youngster was none other than the popular cricket commentator and journalist, Harsha Bhogle who asked the 18-year-old what was the plan looking back at the knock. But the youngster before giving his answer showed his admiration as he awkwardly said, “Hi, how are you, excited to speak with you”. Sharing the mutual admiration, Bhogle responded by saying he was also excited after seeing his knock. The youngster then went back to the answer and kept it simple, “watch the ball”.

Reflecting after his stellar debut, the youngster credited the practice that went before the game and allowed his instincts to take over. He said,” I think the amount of practice in the last few weeks. I just backed my instincts and it happened”.

The 18-year-old also had a very simple response when he was asked his thoughts on Sunil Narine’s knock of 85 off 39 deliveries. He responded by saying, “Box Office stuff. It was so fun”.

He had yet another hilarious response when he was asked if the total KKR had set (273 runs) was enough. He replied, “I mean did you see the Sunrisers match, it was clearly not enough so the job’s not done yet”.

However, KKR managed to defend the target with ease as they secured the victory by 106 runs. Vaibhav Arora was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with three wickets for 27 runs. Varun Chakravarthy also picked up three wickets while concerning 33 runs in his quota as well to take them to the top of the table.

Now KKR will have their next assignment where they take on the Chennai Super Kings at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai as they aim to keep up their win streak.
