Ahead of the highly anticipated contest between India and Bangladesh, India’s ace duo of Virat Kohli along with the skipper Rohit Sharma have made their way to Chennai which will play host to the first match of the two-match Test series.
Both Kohli and Rohit were spotted at the Chennai International Airport where video footage shows their arrival. It seems that both men have arrived separately while the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant had come in together.

This will be India’s first Test under the newly appointed Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir and his new support staff, and it would be interesting to see how Rohit’s side approaches the game against a Bangladesh team which is riding a wave following their 2-0 Test series win over Pakistan.

Kohli arrived early this morning as reported by PTI and he will be eager to get back in whites representing the national team after helping India lift their second T20 World Cup title, following which both Kohli and Rohit announced their retirement from the format.
With just the 50-over and the 5-day format to worry about, the senior duo will look to put their best foot forward as Team India aims to make it to their third consecutive final in the World Test Championship. The Indian team are already at the top of the WTC standings but would not be interested in putting their foot off the pedal anytime soon.
