Watch: Virat Kohli's Fiery Send-off to Jake Fraser-McGurk After Unfortunate Run-out in Bengaluru
Jake Fraser-McGurk was unlucky as the ball grazed the hand of bowler Yash Dayal before hitting the stumps at non-striker's end while he was out of the crease.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal effected a run-out off his own bowling to send back Delhi Capitals opener Jake Fraser-McGurk early in an IPOL 2024 clash on Sunday night.

After DC batter Shai Hope drove a full delivery from Dayal, the bowler managed to get his hand on the ball, leading to a deflection that directed the ball onto the stumps at the non-striker’s end. McGurk (21 off 8) was caught off-guard as he was already out of the crease and could only helplessly witness his own dismissal.

RCB knew the importance of the wicket as Fraser-McGurk has shown his big-hitting abilities in his debut IPL season. RCB superstar Virat Kohli was all pumped up and gave quite a send off to the DC opener.

The Australian has smashed 330 runs this season at a strike-rate of 237.41.

DC won the toss and opted to bowl first at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.  The duo of Khaleel Ahmed and Rasikh Salam kept the three-time finalist humble, halting them at a 187/9.

Kohli made a promising start before being dismissed by Ishant Sharma on 27 off 13. Rajat Patidar then peeled off yet another half-century – 52 off 32 while allrounder Cameron Green remained unbeaten on 32 off 24.

DC were rocked early in their chase as David Warner (1) was dismissed in the first over itself, bowled by Swapnil Singh. Dayal then dismissed Abhishek Porel followed by the run out of Fraser-McGurk.

The Faf du Plessis-led side were able to maintain the pressure, taking wickets in regular intervals. DC were eventually bowled out for 140 as RCB sealed a 47-run win.

RCB have now one match left to play in the IPL 2024 league stage as they next face Chennai Super Kings on May 18.
