Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium witnessed history on Saturday, May 18, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Chennai Super Kings in a dramatic fashion to reach the playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). It was undoubtedly a monumental achievement for RCB, who began the campaign with six consecutive defeats but came roaring back in the later half of the league stage. RCB fans erupted into a frenzy after their side claimed a 27-run win over CSK to earn a spot in the playoffs. Amidst all these, a video of an RCB supporter, who went to Chepuak to watch the earlier faceoff between the Southern rivals, has gone viral on social media.
The person was seen sharing his experience while standing with a CSK fan, who had the name of MS Dhoni written on his chest. As per the caption of the post, the RCB supporter, who lives in Kashmir, made an error while booking a ticket for the Chepauk fixture. He mistakenly purchased a ticket for the RCB Unbox event, which was held in Bengaluru on March 19, three days before the game.
The fan realised his mistake after reaching Chennai ahead of the matchday. That’s when he came across some local people, who helped him get the ticket. In the widely viral video, the RCB fan was heard saying, “I am coming from Kashmir and staying here in Chennai for six days. I was struggling to find a ticket for the game.” He even then thanked the home fans for arranging him a match ticket.
But there were some unpleasant events that made news following the game between RCB and CSK on Saturday. After the match was over, fans of both teams reportedly engaged in confrontations outside the stadium.

Several videos went viral where the home fans were seen taunting and mocking the CSK supporters making their way out of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It caused a massive stir, with users slamming the RCB faithful for their ill-treatment towards the visiting fans.
Coming back to the on-field events, RCB eventually emerged victorious getting the better of CSK. The Faf du Plessis-led side claimed a 27-run victory against the reigning champions to earn a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs.
