The 2024 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), which is the second season of the women’s T20 league, is set to kick off on Friday, February 23 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The curtain-raiser will be played between last season’s finalists, Mumbai Indians Women and Delhi Capitals Women. Led by India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, MI Women won the inaugural edition and will once again start as the favourites to claim their WPL title this season.

Overall, five different franchises will compete for the coveted WPL trophy. The other three teams in addition to MI Women and DC Women are Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, Gujarat Giants Women, and UP Warriorz Women.

WPL 2024 VENUES

The 2024 edition of WPL will be played at just two venues; all the group stage games will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, while the knockouts will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
