The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced job openings for the position of Agriculture Officer. These vacancies will be filled through the Agriculture Officer exam 2024, as per Advertisement No. 17/2023-24. The recruitment aims to recruit 25 Agriculture Officers for the state. Candidates will be selected based on a 150-mark recruitment exam held in pen and paper format.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has scheduled different application periods for various job openings. For the Agriculture Officer positions, online applications will begin on March 7 and will remain open until April 5. Meanwhile, applications for the Public Relations Officer roles will start on March 5 and end on April 3. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The age criteria for candidates are between 20 years and 40 years as of January 1, 2025. There are relaxations in the upper age limit according to the rules of the state government. Meanwhile, for the post of Public Relations Officer, candidates between 21 and 40 years of age can apply.
Educational Qualification
Candidates for the post of Agriculture Officer must meet specific requirements. They are required to hold a Master’s degree in either Agriculture (M.Sc. Agriculture) or Horticulture (M.Sc. Horticulture) from a recognised university in India.
Similarly, candidates interested in the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO) are required to have a graduation degree, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Journalism are also eligible to apply. Candidates with a master’s degree in Hindi or English can also apply, provided they have at least three years of work experience.
Selection Process
For these Rajasthan Public Service Commission recruitments, there will be a written examination. Information regarding the admit card and examination venue will be provided. Candidates applying for the Agriculture Officer positions will undergo a written examination and document verification. On the other hand, candidates applying for the PRO positions will have to pass a written examination as well as an interview.
Salary
The recruitment notice states that selected candidates will receive a grade pay of Rs 4800. In this grade, the salary ranges from Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800. During the probation period, the monthly salary is Rs 31,100. After this period, it increases to Rs 44,300 per month. Eventually, the salary gradually increases to Rs 1,40,100.
