Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Manushi Chhillar Cried While Prepping, Says ‘Tiger Shroff Used To…’ | Exclusive
Manushi Chhillar speaks about learning MMA for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in the same gym as Tiger Shroff. She reveals how she thought he would judge her moves.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will mark Manushi Chhillar’s fourth release after Samrat Prithviraj, The Great Indian Family and Operation Valentine. Interestingly, this is the first time that she will be seen performing some daredevil stunts on the screen. At the trailer launch of the film that happened in Mumbai on Tuesday, Manushi exclusively told News18 Showsha that she ‘had to start from scratch’ as she had to match shoulders with action heroes – Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.

“I was very excited to be a part of the project. When I came to know that I will be doing a lot of action, something that I hadn’t done before, I had to start from scratch. The fact that I would be sharing screen space with two of our biggest action heroes was nerve-wrecking. The good thing about Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is that we had such a good team that helped us through the process. We had a great action director. I knew that I had the support I needed,” she said.

The former Miss World revealed that she had to undergo rigorous practice sessions and learn martial arts to slip under the skin of her character. “I learnt MMA at Tiger’s gym. He used to train at the same gym. I used to cry a lot initially thinking it’s so tough! I had to keep practising and that’s how I managed,” she remarked.

She particularly recalled her first practice session that left her intimated as she thought Tiger would judge her moves. “I remember getting very scared on the first day. I walked into the gym for my session and he was ending his. I saw him doing somersaults and fighting with eight people in the ring with many cheering him on. I didn’t want to practise in front of me. I thought what if he sees me and thinks, yeh kya kar rahi hai!” said Manushi, who plays an army captain in the film.

In the trailer, Akshay Kumar and Tiger are seen going to great lengths to protect the nation from a terrorist attack. They perform intense stunts and deliver impactful dialogues. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist, who has hijacked a potent, powerful and dangerous weapon and Akshay and Tiger are entrusted with the task of getting it back safely.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is presented by Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment in association with AAZ films. It is written and directed by Ali and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali. The film is slated to release on April 10. It also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Alaya F in pivotal roles.
