250 Sq Ft Floral Aisle to ‘Main Apni Favourite Hoon’ Mirror: Rakul-Jackky’s Wedding Decor Win Hearts

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s destination wedding was one big party! Apart from the opulent wedding ensembles, the couple were also treated to artistic floral arrangements and decor meticulously crafted by Interflora India.

From the vibrant Mehendi celebrations to the serene Haldi rituals, the grand wedding ceremony, and the dazzling reception, the breathtaking floral arrangements and decor added to Rakul and Jackky’s celebration of their love.

In conversation with News18, Anuja Joshi, founder, Interflora India talks about the inspiration behind Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s elaborate floral arrangements and wedding decor, Rakul’s favourite element from the mehendi decor and which decor choices will never go out of style.

Excerpts from the interview:

What was the brief that Rakul and Jacky gave you while planning the decor and floral arrangements for their destination wedding?

The brief for each of these events was different as each event had a different venue and the couple wanted to make every event a unique experience in itself. They wanted the Haldi event to be like a poolside party with a tropical vibe with hues of yellow, orange, and pink pastels. The table setting consisted of edibles like watermelon, coconuts and pineapples. The decor for the baithak was an oasis of yellow flowers overlooking the pool.

The theme for mehendi was a summer carnival, which was a bespoke pink and yellow bazaar with small stalls of potli, sugarcane juice, coconut water, etc. The stage was a Magical Forest with canopies of florals and a throne for the bride.

The wedding was in a dreamy setting by the beach, with a long white floral aisle leading to the lush mandapa with minimal setting. The golden hour beach served as a backdrop for the pheras. The reception was meant to be an intimate family gathering right after the wedding, where rustic chic wooden elements harmonised effortlessly with crystalline pinks, and the live music with soft yellow lights from the chandelier created an effortless vibe of happiness.

How many flowers were used in the decor?

Approx 70 types of flowers were used, which included orchids, sunflowers, hydrangeas, baby breath, roses, mogras and many more. This number excludes different colours of the same variety.

A favourite piece of decor that was personalised for Rakul and Jackky?

Regarding the wedding arrangements, every detail was meticulously personalised for Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani. From the 250 sq ft aisle to the traditional mandap, the exquisite garlands, and the chaddar—each element was crafted to reflect the unique essence of the couple’s love story. A standout feature that captured Rakul’s heart was a specially designed photo op mirror for the mehendi function with the iconic Geet [From the film ‘Jab We Met] quote, “Main apni favourite hoon”, this added a touch of personalised charm.

How was it working with Rakul and Jackky?

Working with Rakul and Jacky was an absolute delight, as their love for each other infused every aspect of the collaboration with joy and enthusiasm.
