You can never go wrong with vintage and Sabrina Carpenter’s MTV VMAs red carpet look was one of those epic moments that’s going down in history once again. Sabrina wore a vintage Bob Mackie gown from the 90s, which was designed for iconic singer Madonna.
Celebrating the Mackie Magic once again on the red carpet, Sabrina who was styled by Jared Ellner wore the iconic glamorous dress, which was acquired from Tab Vintage, known for their rare wearable designer vintage. The white satin sequin and beaded bias strapless evening gown, with pearl and crystal embellishments, was styled on Madonna in 1991 for her appearance at the 63rd Annual Academy Awards, and once sparkled bright on Sabrina at the VMAs.
At the Oscars, Madonna who looked stunning in the sparkling gown was accompanied by global pop icon the late Michael Jackson. Bob Mackie captioned the iconic picture on Instagram with the caption: Michael Jackson was her date for the evening.
Elated to see Sabrina Carpenter win big at the MTV VMAs 2024, Bob Mackie took to Instagram to congratulate the Espresso singer and posted the singer’s red carpet pictures wearing the iconic dress, which Madonna rocked in 1991.
Sabrina’s dream makeup was done by Carolina Gonzalez and her Marlyn Monroe inspired golden soft waves was styled by Evaine Frausto. Just like her dress, Sabrina’s nails too sparkled as she graced the black carpet. Her nails done by Zola Ganzorigt and sparkled with rhinestones sparkled as she graced the black carpet.
The after party, Sabrina opted for S/S 1996 Gucci by Tom Ford lace dress acquired from Tab Vintage.
Sabrina won Best Song of the Year award for her song Espresso and took to Instagram to thank her fans. She said, “Thank you @mtv @vmas. Thank you @islandrecords Thank you to my fans forever and ever. Thank you to my moon man.”
The MTV VMAs black carpet pre show was graced by an array of celebrities dressed in their finest and avant garde looks.
