All the Premier League Players Who Will Compete in AFCON and AFC Asian Cup 2024
There are 39 players across 17 Premier League teams who will be representing their country at the Africa Cup of Nations and AFC Asian Cup.

Several Premier League clubs are set to miss some of their key players due to a couple of upcoming international tournaments. The Africa Cup of Nations and AFC Asian Cup scheduled later this year will result in the absence of 39 players across 17 Premier League teams. Liverpool will be losing their star forward Mohammed Salah who will be guiding Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations. Whereas, Tottenham Hotspur will see Hueng-Min Son leave on international duty to represent South Korea in the Asian Cup. Arsenal will also be affected by the brief absence of Takehiro Tomiyasu while Chelsea will see Nicolas Jackson leave for the African tournament. It looks like Erik ten Hag will have more challenges ahead as Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat will also be leaving to serve their respective nations.

Manchester City is one of the only three teams that will not see a single player leave for either the Africa Cup of Nations or the Asian Cup. This could lead to Pep Guardiola’s side securing a solid lead in the Premier League in the upcoming days. The two other teams that will have no absentees include Burnley and Newcastle United.

Nottingham Forest are the worst affected Premier League team as a total of six players are set to miss upcoming fixtures because of the two tournaments. Brentford and Wolves follow closely behind with four players set to be absent on each side in the Premier League.
