London: English Premier League club Arsenal are reported to have opened contract talks with Arsene Wenger as French Champions Paris Saint-Germain continue to be linked with the Frenchmen.
Wenger has just 12 months remaining on his current contract and Gunners officials are keen to put an end to any uncertainty over his future at the Emirates Stadium by offering him new long term deal.
There were calls from some sections of the Gunners fans for Wenger to be axed last season, but the board have still got every faith in the Frenchman and want him to extend his contract with the club.
PSG could make a move for him next year with various reports claiming that early negotiations with Wenger have gone well and a deal could be hammered out sooner rather than later.
