New Delhi: Reports are suggesting that David Beckham could wear the No. 75 jersey during his stay as a AC Milan player.

Former England captain David Beckham is considering a short-term loan move to Italian giants Milan, starting in January.

Milan have confirmed they are trying to sign Beckham from the Los Angeles Galaxy and coach Carlo Ancelotti would be happy to have the midfielder at the Rossoneri.

Although the deal is not complete, Milan are hopeful Beckham will sign, and the move would have clear benefits for both parties. England coach Fabio Capello last week stressed Beckham has a key role to play for England, as he looks to add to his 107 caps.

At the same time he also confirmed that the former Manchester United midfielder would not be selected to face Spain in February if he remained inactive during the MLS close season.

Milan would benefit from the player’s incredible marketability, as having the player in the squad is very lucrative indeed, especially in the Asian market.

Interestingly, despite the fact that David Beckham's transfer to Milan is not yet official, reports suggest that a company is already selling his jersey.

According to an English website, the former Real Madrid man will have No. 75 shirt, as his favoured No. 7 and the No. 23 shirts are already taken by Alexandre Pato and Massimo Ambrosini. The No. 75 would indicate the year of his birth, in the same way that Ronaldinho took the No. 80.
