The Sikkimese Sniper once again belied his age.

New Delhi: The Sikkimese Sniper once again belied his age and emerged as the Player of the Tournament for a second successive year after being named the Most Valuable Player of the AFC Challenge Cup '08.

The evergreen striker has helped India break the deadlock as he scored against Krygyzstan in supposedly his 100th game and thus, relieve his team-mates of the pressure they were under following the opening day loss to Lebanon.

Bhaichung won the penalty for India in the same match which was converted by Sunil Chhetri.

Then came the game against the Lankans, where he was at the center of every attack and scored another to take his personally tally to two goals.

He was rested against Syria in the final round robin game as India had already qualified for the finals.

In the finals, it was Bhaichung who started the game on a brilliant note with the left footed strike.

It was the former Bury FC player who won the free-kick from India from which Renedy scored.

All this at a moment when his future is up in the air. His club has suspended him, the Indian FA have delayed the matter with some needless interference at the wrong moment.

As it's famously said: When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

What's your reaction?
