New Delhi: The two best clubs in the world, Manchester United and Barcelona, will add to the spectacular sight of the world's two best players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, striding out on opposite sides at the Stadio Olimpico in the Champions League final on Wednesday night.
For Barcelona, it has been their free-flowing brand of attacking football that has been the key. Barca's Holy Trinity of Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry who's fighting to get fit for the final, has been simply unstoppable this season.
However, the 'Red Devils' would be more worried about these two men who have woven Barca's road to the Rome from the midfield.
Xavi Hernandez, the best player at Euro 2008 has been in sensational form, while Andres Iniesta who shares a kind of telepathy with Xavi is doing whatever Barca want him to do with the ball.
Like their opponents, Man U have undoubtedly played some of the best football on the continent this season and their victory over Inter Milan in the last sixteen was a demonstration of just how strong they are.
The only undefeated team in the tournament so far, Man U do go into the summit clash with just a bit of an edge over Barca.
Cristiano Ronaldo is all fired up to show the worlds he's better than Messi, while Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney too will look to seal it emphatically against the ultimate challengers. And the towering Rio Ferdinand will be there to make sure there's no slip up as Man U go for a historic quadruple.
It wouldn't be outrageous to ask whether Wednesday night's Champions League final could turn out to be one of the greatest games ever.
