Reports suggested that the fan had broken his nose.

The Real Madrid star went over to apologise to the man when he realised what had happened.

Bale scored a magnificent free-kick as Wales beat Slovakia 2-1 in their Euro 2016 opener on Saturday.

Playing their first game at a major championship since the 1958 World Cup, Wales took a 10th-minute lead courtesy of Bale's fine free-kick, only for Slovakia substitute Ondrej Duda to equalise.
